Emily-Rose & the Wild Things
A wild mix of jazz, fusion, folk, funk and intricate songwriting, Emily-Rose and the Wild Things are led by songstress and keys player Emily-Rose Sarkova and deliver an earthy and profound fusion of acoustic and electric worlds. Complex grooves, catchy riffs and caramel textures underpin intricate, relevant lyrics of weight and beauty.
One of Sydney’s most versatile of musical shape-shifters, Emily-Rose has explored worlds of jazz, classical, folk, free-improv, tango and all the lines in-between with groups such as ARIA nominated Chaika, Tangalo, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Rhythm Hunters, Monsieur Camembert, SICKO, Chris Cody Octet and Marais Project.
Working with a cross section of incredible folk and jazz musicians, the band have headlined shows at Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival and Majors Creek Festival since their creation in 2019 and they see no boundaries in delivering a truly world class musical experience.
